Interstate 55 to exit
150 East about 5 miles to Basler Dr. (next to Casey’s) turn
right. The Sheriff’s Office is ¼ mile on the right.
When may I visit a prisoner?
Visiting days
and times:
General Population Prisoners
Wednesdays and Sundays
12:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.
All visits are limited to 30 minutes.
Civil Detainees Only
Saturdays Only

What may I bring a prisoner?
For security
reasons only money and prescription medications are allowed to
be brought in to the facility.
How do I send money to a prisoner?
Money may be
left for a prisoner 24 hours a day 7 days a week (cash or money
order).
When mailing a money order it should be made out
to the inmate and mailed to:

Money must be
received by 12:00 noon Monday to be credited to their account to
order that week.
What are the rules for visiting a
prisoner?
Persons 16years
of age or older must produce a photo I.D.
and fill out a questionnaire.

A parent or guardian
must accompany persons under 17 years of age.
No one is allowed in
the visiting area with personal property (i.e. cell phone,
purse, food recording devices, cameras, and packages) they must
be secured in your vehicle.
Proper conduct by
visitors and prisoner is expected. Improper conduct, by either
party, will terminate the visit.
Visitors must be
appropriately dressed. Shoes and shirts are required. No
form-fitting, suggestive, or revealing clothing will be
permitted. Persons inappropriately dressed will be refused a
visit at the discretion of the Facility staff.
Can I have a contact visit?
No. For security reasons contact
visits are not allowed.
Can I give a message to an inmate?
Not unless it
is a verifiable medical emergency such as a death in the family.
How do I bond someone out of your facility? If
the bond is "CASH ONLY" you may come to the Detention Center and
post the bond with Cash. You will need the exact amount. We have
no way of making change.
If the bond is a "CURCIT COURT ONLY" you will have to post the
bond in the Ste. Genevieve County Courthouse between the hours
od 8:00 am and 4:30 pm.
Ste. Genevieve County is part of the 24th Judicial Circuit and
all bondspersons must be approved by Judge Thomas Ray in St.
